BEAR HUGS

I adopted my first special Teddy Bear 🧸 when I was 8 years old. I named him "George", but spelled it "Gorge" because I didn't know about the "e"! 🤣 He became a part of my family, and I loved him with all my heart. He had a distinguished and kind look about him, and I slowly accumulated a whole wardrobe for him over time, from a bathing suit to a tuxedo! (He happened to fit in the Snoopy outfits available at the time, so that worked out well). One of my great regrets is that I lost him somewhere along the way of growing up. 😢 I searched and searched for one just like him, but to no avail. When I was 10, I sewed a jointed teddy bear as part of a school project. At 51, I began to wonder if I could do it again! 🤔 I was determined to bring to life the bear I longed for, and after much trial and error, I have done just that! 🥳

 

BearHugs by Inger are fashioned after traditional, jointed, collectible bears... but with the soft fur and snuggly nature of the 1970's bears like George. I now have five personal bears in three different sizes (Merry, Holly, Ivy, Clementine and Nutmeg... sensing a theme? 🎄) I hope that whatever bear you find to love will bring you as much joy as they bring me. 🌈 So to all the kindred spirits out there who love Teddy Bears as much as I do -- Welcome to my shop! 🧸
